MISSION STATEMENT

Guidance and Counseling Department’s Mission is to implement a comprehensive school counseling program to promote student success through academic achievement, promote prevention and intervention activities to provide a safe and nurturing environment, provide social/emotional and career development, and increase student’s admittance and success in institutions of higher learning.

I am the School  Counselor at Andrew Trautmann Elementary.  I am entering my 26^th year with United Independent School District and I am thrilled to be your school counselor!  I look forward to working with you and your child this year, and I will make every effort to see that your child receives as much personal assistance as possible.

The School Counseling program at Trautmann Elementary  is based on the American School Counseling Association Model and our district standards. It includes a variety of services for ALL students and is designed to assist with interests and issues related to the stages of student growth in the areas of academic, career, personal, emotional, and social development. The following services are offered at Trautmann Elementary:  Individual Counseling, Small Group Counseling, Classroom Guidance lessons and Referral assistance to other programs and services in the community.
